Now Fort Moore (Formerly Fort Benning), Lowe provided surveying and engineering services for subsurface utility location and site development design plans for the 5.2MW Generation Plant and Microgrid Controls.
Completed a SUE QL-B investigation of an approximate 12-acre site including approximately 5,000 LF of existing road corridor. This investigation supported the design of a new microgrid system to support the Fort Moore utility grid. Subsurface utilities were designated and marked using surface geophysical techniques including, but not limited to, induction, direct connection, and ground penetrating radar. The following equipment was used in the field: Radiodetection RD8000 and a Leica DS2000 GPR. The following utilities were designated in the field: primary and secondary buried electric, communication lines including fiber and telephone, natural gas mains and services, water mains.
