An immediate position is available for an experienced SUE Technician with Lowe Engineers, LLC. Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and enjoy being part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Role and Responsibilities:
Work with a team of talented individuals to help tackle a wide variety of projects.
Complete detailed and accurate daily reports and field sketches to coordinate with internal and external survey crews.
Ability to read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings, and highway design plans.
Communicate effectively with contractors, utility representatives, and homeowners.
Thoroughly documents interactions and field activities daily using company provided forms.
Professionally represent Lowe Engineers when communicating and/or working with clients, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities and meetings.
Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies.
Perform operator level maintenance on assigned company tools and equipment as required.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Complete monthly equipment inventory.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
What You Bring to Lowe Engineers:
Minimum 1 year of performing GA 811 utility locates
Experience in using electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies.
Experience using air assisted vacuum excavation equipment is a plus, but not required
Survey experience is a plus but not required
Ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
Basic computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office, Google Earth Pro, and ability to learn and understand new software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans.
Ability to obtain the client required identity verification such as TWIC.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time by company vehicle or commercial airline and work overtime as needed.
Ability to walk long distances of several miles daily.
Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
Ability to lift heavy equipment to 80 lbs.
Good driving skills and a clean driving record are a must.
Must prioritize the safety of yourself and others.
