Stormwater Manager
Location:
Dunwoody, GA
Your Impact at Lowe Engineers:
Lowe Engineers seeks a well-rounded individual to manage a municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) and support the stormwater division staff in the successful execution of their duties. This position serves as the full-time, on-site contract Public Works Department Stormwater Manager for a long-term municipal client. Our client relies upon Lowe to fulfill all traditional Public Works duties and turns to Lowe in specific situations to address other non-traditional Public Works roles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As the ideal candidate your experience will be a broad-based mixture of public and private sector projects and clients, with a concentration in municipal engineering, stormwater management, and/or urban water resources. Your engineering aptitude will navigate the divide between office-side drawings-based design and successful implementation of field-ordered solutions, overcoming challenges posed by unforeseen site conditions and situations. You will recognize success not through the quantity completed but by the standard of long-term sustainability and return on investment. Your writing style will be concise, active, and engaging. You will be as comfortable digging through the weeds of a task as you are communicating broad programmatic goals to C-level executives. You will respond with empathy to challenges experienced by individuals but will remain focused on the commitment to serve the best interests of the community. You will be goal-, not clock-, driven. You avoid silos and thrive on collaboration and continuous peer engagement. You appropriately balance pragmatic and dogmatic considerations in the execution of your duties and carrying out the mission.
